New Lives: The Modernization Of Public Buildings

New Lives: The Modernization Of Public BuildingsInstead of demolishing outdated schools, libraries, ministries and other public buildings, Austria has been very active in reusing and modernizing public buildings built from 1950-1980.

Modernization has thus become a very important sector of the building industry and challenging task for architects, as every building has its own life and history as well its own future that might be a very different one. There are outstanding and surprising solutions in a sector that are bound to become more important in Russia in the nearby future.
